She handed me a note after the sermon…

It was over 10 years ago, but I’ll never forget it.

I had just finished preaching a youth service at a local church in Georgia.

The room was packed with young people and I had one mission: get them to see how deeply and widely they were loved by God.

So I preached my heart out and followed every step I had learned after nearly a decade of preaching to youth and young adults—including the ones that didn’t like church or where on the edge of leaving.

The sermon went great. But it’s what happened next that I’ll never forget. A young lady—maybe 16 or 17—walked up to me and handed me a note.
